But, Why?

But, Why?

Through my mind’s eye, I begin to head back in time to when hopes and dreams abounded without restrictions.  Yet, it is a struggle for me to get there, much like the stranded survivor slashing her way through a dense and choked out jungle.  But, why?

Maybe my mind’s eye isn’t the right tool, a sharp enough machete, to penetrate the dense overgrowth from life’s unkempt path.  What other “tools” could I use?  What about adding the power and fortitude of my heart and Soul?  YIKES!  That idea makes me want to retreat and run for the hills. But, why?

Maybe it’s because my heart has been broken one too many times, trampled on by herds of elephants.  And, my Soul. . . . . .  disconnected.  Heal them.  Sharpen that machete blade!  But, how? But, why?

With that last question, the circle completes itself, for the “why” is to be like the child feeding the ducks.  To be free and uninhibited. To have a clear and open path.  To have every ounce of me, down to the core of my being, exude pure hope and joy.

That is my dream.  And, yours?

This entry was beautifully orchestrated! The visuals of clearing ones vision, heart, and soul on its overgrown path with a machete leaves a strong message of struggles and hopefully a clearing. Thank you, my friend!
